The Cooperstown Graduate Association (or CGA) is a not-for-profit corporation comprised of alumni and friends of the Cooperstown Graduate Program. CGA's primary purpose is to support the Cooperstown Graduate Program (CGP) students as they enter the museum field. CGA funds scholarships, field trips to museums and cultural institutions, and opportunities for professional development. Additionally, CGA helps CGP alumni stay in touch after graduation by hosting events in Cooperstown and at regional and national events, including many annual museum conferences.
CGP alumni, around the world, work as curators, directors, educators, marketers, development officers, registrars, human resource specialists, designers, and museum consultants in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. CGP graduates hold positions in large cultural institutions, small museums, historic houses, and sites around the country.
CGP graduates also serve as board members of community groups, museums, and professional service organizations. More than 900 CGP alumni make a difference in communities around the world.
